A Detox!!!

Ok so…anybody ever heard of the Fat Flush??



So I’ll say straight away I don’t know much about it. My big sister and her bff have both done it several times. They always invited me to join but I just refused to cut out any 1 group of foods and refused to “suffer” on a “diet”.


Well…I’m going to Arkansas soon for our summer vacation and I realized…I’M THE SAME EXACT WEIGHT AS I WAS when we were there last August…11 mths ago! =O Ugh! Epic fail Liz!!! So a few days ago when I realized this, I called them stat and said “OK, what can I do in a short period of time to get off a good amount of weight, to detox from the bad crap I’ve been eating, to clean out my system??” and they said the Fat Flush.


Here’s MY general understanding of it;
-No processed foods!
-Only drink water, cran-water, decaf coffee, sugar free tea.
-Only meat should be a lean protein.
-Unlimited veggies.
-Limit 2 fruits per day.
-Need 2 eggs per day.
-Replace 2 meals a day with a protein shake.
-No dairy.
-Need 64 oz. of cran-water or water a day.
-No alcohol.


You can snack…but on stuff like nuts, veggies….uhhh, anything healthy and not processed. But the examples they gave me were mostly things I don’t like (b/c I’m Ms. Picky) so I’ve been PLANNING to not snack.


It really sounds to me like any kind of healthy, “clean” eating diet. You just cut out the bad stuff, the bad carbs.


So I decided to start Wed morning.

Here is MY outline:
Breakfast: Protein Shake (8 oz. water, 2 scoops Strawberry Protein, & 1 whole banana)
Lunch: Protein Shake (8 oz. water, 2 scoops Strawberry Protein, & 1 whole banana)
Dinner: 4 oz. lean protein, unlimited veggies.
*And maybe throw in a hard-boiled egg here or there as a snack, or on a salad.


Here’s how I’ve done:
Wednesday: PERFECT!
Thursday: Switched Lunch shake for Dinner shake and had a salad for lunch. But did have ½ can of coke after dinner.
Friday: Good except… ¼ (2 bites) of a choc doughnut at work mid morning, skipped Lunch shake, had 1-2 serv. Of mixed fruit mid-afternoon…then again ¼ of that same damn doughnut! Ugh!


But I’m not stressing over today. I’m learning MUCH more about good control. Going from having NO control to having ALL KINDS OF control…I can’t hate myself if I have 4 bites of a mega delish doughnut (which co-workers bring in EVERY Friday and I haven't had 1 in over a month) over the course of eating PERFECT for 3 days, it REALLY isn’t the end of the world.


BUT I can tell you, after eating perfect Wednesday, I didn’t really crave anything bad, no carbs, no sweets. And the only reason I had the ½ coke Thursday night was because I was watching tv on the couch and Riley brings it to me because he isn’t allowed to have more than ½ can a day…usually I would go ahead and drink it, if he wasn’t sharing it with his brother. So I sat it on the table, watched tv, ignored it. Then probably 30 minutes later I was thirsty, my water was on the kitchen counter, I was being a lazy ass, and I just drank the coke b/c it was at arms length, lol! But I didn’t crave it or want it, I just did it without caring. I SHOULD’VE CARED! I’ll be better next time!


Today I haven’t even had tea. Just my water and crystal light water. My protein shakes are actually tasting better and better. I haven’t felt heavy, bloated, or gassy NOTHING! It’s just been perfect!!! It’s amazing how GOOD it feels to eat light and clean-ish!


So my weigh-ins you might ask….???


Day 1: 222.2
Day 2: 220.4
Day 3: 219.6


So I’ve lost 2.59 lbs over 2 full days of doing this “Fat Flush”. Yay! I’m stoked! I feel like it’s maintainable. I have just 5 more days until I go back to Arkansas. And really…I have no desire to stop eating this way, to stop paying attention, to go back to fast food AT ALL. So other than the whole occasional alcohol I really enjoy, I think I’ll try and stick with this on vacation and after we get back! It’s not too hard, doesn’t demand too much of me, just PAYING ATTENTION and planning my meals! Which is something I’ve needed to do for awhile now…uhhh errrr 11 mths!!!


Yay! I did BEFORE pics incase there’s some insane difference, lol! So I’ll past before/after pics when I’m done with the technical “9 day fat flush”! =)

Love you guys! I've missed you guys! I wish I had more time to get into reading everyone's blogs but here's the thing....I have very limited free time! =( I can't get on at work (I am not but it's WAY illegal, lol) I don't even play facebook games anymore, I go home to be full time Mommy from 6pm-830pm. I get a little time to myself which I usually clean and/or watch some chill tv/movies. Then I've gotta get to bed to start all over. On the weekends I've been trying to keep my boys super busy doing SUPER fun "Summer things" so they have good stories to take back to school. I remember I always loved going back at the beginning of the year and telling what all I had gotten to do. And so then when I do have free time on the weekends (aside from the little time I chip out to be with my boyfriend) I'm trying to focus more on my writing.

I'm enjoying more following and persuing my creative goals! I'm writing more, I'm doing more photography! I'm going to soon Trademark my pictures, create a Fan page on Facebook and see if I can get some of my best scenic shots sold! THAT'S a HUGE goal of mine! Plus, my sister inspired me to again chase my dream of writing a children's book...so I'm cultivating ideas right now for the "theme" of it. Also, before the years up I MUST learn either acoustic guitar or piano! I bought a keyboard last year and a dummy guide to teach myself...so that's the easiest to start. And so...those are just 2 goals I've had for the last 2 years straight and have made NO advances to even begin to tackle them. So I'm TRYING to follow-thru!

And then on top of that....lol, I'm shooting to go to Real Estate School in August. I should have the money for the tuition then, and the night classes 2 days a week should only take me about 10 wks to complete. Once all done with that I hope to do Real Estate in my spare time (omg I don't have any) to dip my toes into the Real Estate World....ie, MY DREAM CAREER!!! AND...OMG AND...Riley starts 2nd grade and Konnor starts KINDERGARTEN! YAYYYYYYYYY! I love, love, love when children start school for the first time, Kindergarten is such an amazing experience and I am so excited to see how Konnor deals, show him so much, and nurture his little learning spirit while he gets used to "school" and omg..."school work", lol! God he's so damn cute! I can't wait to see him in his school uniform, his polo shirts and his very own big boy backpack!!!! Amazing!!!!

Ah, exhausted myself just thinking about it all! But I guess a long over do update has been needed!!! I will try, TRY TRY TRY to begin to get back on here more often, make it a habit to carve out time lady for you special people! I've missed the comfort and acceptance of this wonderful place!
