Possible New Haircut! Need opinions!

Me now. So to keep in mind, I am loving the bangs! But right now my hair comes down to the middle of my back. It's a lot of hair, I love it, I think it's gorgeous....when I fix it. Which is about once every 2 mths. Most of the time I pull it back in a pony tail and don't take the hour to straighten my naturally curly hair. So I'm tossing around these ideas that are either short and would be quick to dry straight OR mid-length curly b/c that's much faster. part of me wants to still be able to put it in a pony tail holder for those days there is NOOOO time to deal w/ it.

basically a longer version of Reese's hair!

SO FIRST QUESTION: Long bob (comes to about the middle of the neck) OR medium length cut that comes right to the shoulders?????

SECOND QUESTION: Which one is your favorite for me, keeping in mind I have a heart shaped face w/ the pointy chin? Oh and keeping in mind I want it fixed and lookin' fabulous in like 20 minutes....

Thanks for the help!!!

xoxo,
Lizzle

  1. That's so funny! The last time I went to get my hair cut, I took in that exact picture of Jessica Simpson and I ended up LOVING my cut! I think that one would be great for you since it looks like you have pretty thick hair like I do. I have naturally pretty wavy hair and if I scrunch it up with that hairstyle it still looks good!

I do like the Reese Witherspoon cut as well. She has a face shape like yours :)

  2. I think if you have a heart shaped face and pointy chin you cant go wrong choosing something similar to Reese because she has the same shaped face. She would have someone who knows exactly what suits her so that would be a good one.

That said maybe go her style by keep more length. it might be a shock to go too short after having such long hair. I also love the black and white pic with the girl with the long fringe but I'm not sure that wouldn't drive a person nuts after a while lol constantly pushing the hair out of your eyes.

  3. Cute! I say the third or fourth photo options. Curly is too much maintenance. You'll have to post once you decide, esp with a picture after the cut.

  4. I personally think you would look great in either of the two top photos. But I like the second one down for you as it is still long enough to be able to pull back if necessary. I also like the curly ones on the bottom.

If your hair is naturally curly (you lucky duck), then maybe the shoulder length with bangs. That way you could straighten it like it is in the second photo or curl it like on the bottom??

  5. Ok, here is my expert opinion. I say expert because I do this once a year. I cut my hair like the first pic you posted, I blow it out everyday for a month or two then I get sick of it and it goes back in a ponytail for a full year. Then I get sick of pulling it back and cut it again. It's been my cycle for about 5 years now. So my advice is DONT DO IT unless you are prepared to keep cutting it short enough that you cant pull it back at all. Otherwise it gets too easy again to do it. Let us know what you decide! HUGS

  6. I say go for the first one (Reece Witherspoon).. I went that short after having quite long hair, and for the first day I didnt like it, then I just loved it, so easy to manage.. My hair is naturally curly too, and it was suitable to wear as a messy look or straightened.. With suck little effort.. Ask their hairsytlist to help you with some tips on after care styling..
Good luck, cant wait to see the pics..

  7. Thank you so much for everyone's opinions so far! I deleted all the other 'dos except Reese and jessica b/c you guys helped me narrow it down. Now if you notice these two chicks basically have the same cut but Jessica's is longer. So I guess now it's up to figuring out what length I'd be cool with...

  8. I would say Reece's style but a little longer....you can always get it cut shorter once you get used to the style and the length....My hair is super curly and very long and when it is straightened it comes down to my lower back....but I am desperate for a hair cut and style....I have a cut maybe once a year, twice if it's lucky...but I really need to take care of it now that I am losing so much of it....I still can't decide what to do!

  9. I think the longer one since your hair is SO thick. They are both cute though.

  10. Def go with Reese. You will look really cute ( not that you dont already :-) )

  11. Okay first of all....I hate you for having thick hair...that is all that I have wanted my whole life....I have fine hair that looks like a dirty mop unless it is hot-rolled. Anyway my opinion is to take all the pictures (even the ones you took down) into your stylist (so they have a big picture idea of things you like and talk to him or her about the lifestyle things you want(like the 20 min do and looking super sassy) they are the pros so they might have the best idea after that conversation and being able to look at your actual hair and face. Then pay a little bit more to style your hair and have them explain what they are doing while they are doing it. I would also write down what products they use during styling and (since I am cheap) would go to a beauty supply store to buy those products...........but you are super sassy no matter what and I am sure that you will look like a total hottie no matter what you do!

  12. I vote for the longer version also.

  13. "if we couldn't laugh we'd all go insane"- thanks for the tip! that is a good idea! I will do that. A co-worker gave me a great idea. She said go in and get the cut I want but 2 inches longer. Take a day or two of looking at it and playing w/ it and see how I like it. If i'm cool to go shorter, she said you can go in 2 days later and they'll trim off the last 2 inches w/o charging you. So I think I'm going to do that as well. Plan on doing it Fri am b/c I'm off!!!

  14. OMG....I never realized how long it would take to write out my display name....I changed it now so hopefully it will be easier....can't wait to see the new do!

  15. haha! thanks Jill! And I do like the shorter name, once you get used to the same people though you barely look at it anymore! No biggie!
