Christmas Eve/Day Pics!

Me & my boys Christmas Eve Night in our Christmas jammies!

My mom and I are in our Christmas Jammies

Christmas Day Dawn
A tradition of mine the last few years has been to take a picture of the sky on special days because I think the sky is sooooo beautiful and when I look back at pictures of the sky I always remember where I was and what I was doing when I took it.

Christmas Day Sunrise

Our Tree! Awwww! Warm Fire!
Our house was filled with Elvis Presley, Aaron Neville, and numerous country stars singing Christmas Music. Our Scentsy "candle" had a cinnamon/christmasy smell in it! IT WAS  PERFECT!

Our Christmas table w/ our "fine china", haha! Just wanted to be a little fancy this year but most of my family doesn't give a crap, so I did it.

 The kiddos Christmas table!

Me and the boys Christmas Day! My black dress I got my Target and those are the black/maroon T-strap heels I got from Target recently as well! first time I wore those shoes and they were surprisingly super comfy!

My mother and I.

My cousin, Amanda, and I!

Holiday Food: So the low down is that on this past Monday I was down to 235 due to a recent fill, protein shakes, and lots of exercise. Then my last day to workout was Sun until I finally bought a membership there on Wed. So I did weigh Tue was was up to 238 for some reason, I'm guessing it was the holiday sweets and my meal eating was all good. So then i did weigh this morning after the Christmas Dinner and pie I had last night and I'm up to 240.2. It does kinda piss me off but I know my eating wasn't perfect and I'm hoping some of it was water weight. Haven't been able to get to the gym after Sunday until today, so I'm going in the next hour. I'm shooting to do 2 hrs of cardio and then 30 minutes in the steam room, maybe help get some sugar toxins out of my body, haha! Either way, it'll be good for me.

What did I eat for Christmas Dinner: I had 2 bites of macaroni, 1 bite of mashed potatoes, and 1 bite of Turkey....AND GOT STUCK! It sucked so bad! I felt so embarassed and like I'd done something wrong. I was sitting at the table w/ my mom, aunt, and cousin so it was no biggie...the men were in the other room. I took a sip of sweet tea and waited a few minutes and it passed. So the total food I ate: 2 bites of Turkey, 1/2 cup of macaroni, 3 bites of mashed potatoes, and 1/2 cup of green beans. Obviously the splurge item was the macaroni, I love it! haha! But I think that is a great amount of a Christmas Dinner! Dessert: 1 piece of chocolate pie w/o crust and 2 tbsp of cool whip, FF. That was about 2 hrs after dinner. I never got the "stuffed" feeling or Pb, just that one stuck episode that passed quickly.

For us, the holiday does not drag on for weeks. It is OVER today. The tree will be down today and the outside lights down tomorrow. We don't do anything other than a family BBQ for new years Day so I have no more holiday food and goodies to worry about. So the next few days for me will be HARDCORE CARDIO, DETOXING MY BODY OF SUGAR, AND PROTEIN SHAKES to get back to good portion sizes and  high daily protein numbers.

I'll round out the season with a beautiful quote: "This is my wish for you: peace of mind, prosperity through the year, happiness that multiplies, health for you and yours, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams, joy to fill your holidays!" -- D.M. Dellinger

Hopefully I will catch up on blogs and homework, again this weekend! *smile*

Xoxo,
Elizabeth

  1. Liz,
You look amazing - truly beautiful and I love all your pictures but especially the full length one of you in the black dress with your mum.. you look stunning (love your hair)!!

Also, what a brilliant idea regarding the sunset - it's very clever and something to look back on - I love the whole mindset.

Glad you had a lovely Xmas - and your table setting was gorgeous.

  2. You all look so cute in your Christmas PJ's, and your fireplace and tree look so cozy and Christmasy. I love Elvis Christmas songs too!
I still have 3 more family get-togethers to face fudge and pecan pies! It would be a lot better for me if we didn't celebrate SO much. I definitely need to detox from sugar, too. Hopefully I can start that soon. Happy holidays!

  5. You look lovely! Those shoes rock, and the dress too. I love the jammies, I will have to post our Christmas jammies pic!

Good job on the Christmas eating! I am a little jealous you are done - the holidays go on forever for us (or so it seems), and I kind of just want to get into detox and exercise mode like you. I have a 2 day New Year's Eve party situation coming up next, after another party tonight!

Thanks for the pics & hope your Christmas was wonderful!
