New Years Eve Goal!

Ok so we have 8 weeks until New Years Eve! I don't do well with HUGE goals, too much pressure. I don't dig! So...here's my goal before goin' out to celebrate New Years Eve...

I want to lose 8 lbs!!!

That is reasonable, 1 lb a week. Actually it is slacker standards BUT I haven't lost a "pound" since May. So this would actually be huge for me to see MOVEMENT!!!

I have no idea what I weigh right now, I don't do it regularly...so I'll have to check it out in the morning!

...edited: weight now 212
(Been between 212 and 207 since May, which was also when I got my LAST fill!)

Once I do MY official weigh in, I will try to report to you guys weekly. I've never been a fan to the weekly weigh-in thing, again, I guess too much pressure.

P.S. I really need to figure out when to fix exercise into my new life. Working 8 hr days again plus a 45 min commute each way, allllll boy stuff in the evenings...I need to find somewhere to squeeze it in. BUT I'm not going to stress over it for the first week or two. My priority now is letting my body and myself adjust to not being home all day...make sure my boys adjust well...then I'll worry about fitting something else in. In fact, I don't even know when I'll get to see Lloyd for sure. We always did Tue, Thur, and Fri or Sun. so we got 3 nights a week together at his house or going out. Tue and Thur are the nights I'm at school until 10pm. NOW I don't think I can handle leaving school (after working all day) hanging out at his house until 1-3am and then dragging ass home to "nap" and head into work again. I dunno. Him and I have discussed it and we love spending time together so we'll figure out a way to make it "feel right" with my lil life change-ups!

xoxo,
Libby

  1. Communtes always make it hard to fit in exercise. I used to walk during my lunch break during many of my diet phases, that might be an option for you.

  2. That's a great goal-- mine is too high (13 lbs) and based on the way things have been going, I'm not going to do it. But 8 would be good. Go you!

  3. This is totally do-able!!! You should try some circuit training!! I just bought an awesome DVD if your interested I blogged about it a few days ago. Combine that with a little cardio and keeping your food in check you will loose 8lbs no problem!!! My goal is 13lbs around christmas/new years....maybe a little unreasonable?? I'm not sure!

    You can do it!!

  4. Why don't you guys pick a race and train for it together? That way you can exercise and see your man!

  5. Finding time to go to the gym can be challenging. We just had the time fall back here so it gets darker, earlier - and that makes it harder in itself because you leave work. work out. bam! it's dark. Plus, working FT and having busy weekends, it makes it hard to commit. I think your goal is easily obtainable and so I wish you much luck!

  6. I think The Best of Me has a great idea of you and Lloyd working out together. My hubby and I did that for a period of time (unfortunately not now) and it was great.

I want to be 40 down by the New Year, which is only 6 more lbs. I know that's a low goal, but I'm going on a 9 day cruise and I'm being realistic that even with the band I will be eating more than usual and then the holidays come and I will be eating more than usual. Honestly if I can get through a cruise and the holidays with a loss, that will be the first time in - well EVER - that I pulled that off.
