On the wide open highway...
Day 2 of our road trip! We left Phoenix at 1am Sat morning in a monsoon rain storm. The valley was flooding as we were leaving and it was craziness. We got all the way to Oklahoma City on "Day 1". Took us until 11pm (okc time). We drove 20 hrs on the first day. I drove the first 15 1/2 hrs and by then, I was beyond exhausted and crappy b/c I did NOT sleep Fri night before we left town.
So, I got down to 209 Fri am before leaving for the trip. Instead of hoping to maintain on vacation, I'm striving to continue losing. I broke past "the 210 clencher" and pray that I can keep up good behavior.
I have already eaten like shitty poo poo! I'm tracking all of my food on My Fitness Pal app for my Droid and I was surprised at how many calories were in the normal "road trip foods". I've avoided almost all sweets and candies, had 1 soda (ugh!) and had too much Monster's, oops! Yesterday my calories were beyond ridiculous! I've been talking to my mom about her keeping me in check and how I can for sure TRY HARDER and have more options once we get to my grandpa's house in Blytheville, Ar. It really is HARD to eat well IN THE CAR, and I don't think that's an excuse but I am trying to at least stay conscious of my choices and decisions.
Moms driving right now (from Oklahoma City, ok to Fort Smith, Ar) while I'm on the mini laptop on wifi, it's beyond awesome to blog and surf while riding in the car!!!! ;) Hope to catch up with some blogs later tonight when we make it to my families house and settle in. Love you all! Pray for me or (if you don't pray) shoot good vibes my way!
OH btw, I've been so worried about staying active while we were on the road that I've been so goofy! My mom has laughed at me so much. Everytime we stopped for gas or to pee, I'd do jumpin' jacks outside, stretch, kettlebell moves (without the kettlebell, hehe) and run around the car!! LMAO! It was hilare! Once mom took pics of me jogging by the New Mexico state sign! :P and then when we stopped at a rest stop near Amarillo, Tx I ran around in circles with the boys chasing me, around the rest stop! She took pics of me running..and the boys beating me! LOL! It was funny! And THAT TIME I was running in Nike flip flops and I'm pretty sure my left calf didn't like it b/c it's bothered me ever since. Oh well! As soon as we make it to our destination, I should be able to jog every night and I brought my workout clothes and tennis shoes! So I'll do that every day we are not in the car to make sure I keep in some form of activity!!!
xoxo,
Liz
P.S. Roo- I know your name hon!!! When I said that in my last blog "I don'tknow your name" that was meant for the blog before or after yours, I haven't forgotten you!!!
