holy bonkers! who rocks?

I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HOLLA!!!!

FIRST, Friday I ran 2.5 MILES STRAIGHT!!! (in 41 mins) and did a total of 2.65 miles in 46 mins. Then I did 30 mins (2 miles) on the elliptical, lifted weights for about 20 mins, and finished with a good 20 min stretch! It was a great gym day! I was sooooo proud of myself for running that far, that long and being ok, feeling good. I did not feel like I was about to die or anything.

Followed the great workout with a new haircut. If you can't tell the difference (it's mostly the same) but I had her take off 2.5 inches b/c I wanted it shorter than my last cut was originally. I was feeling brave AND I LOVE IT!!!!

ANOTHER pic of me and my hair and me messin' with it!

This morning I woke up to 226.1, down another pound plus a little. I was stoked! Still am!!!! 52 lbs total in THIS weight loss journey! If you consider from my highest weight ever, I've LOST 69 LBS! woo hoo!!!

So then one of my half marathon buddies ran 8 miles today doing a walk/jog to see if her body has the endurance to do the 13 mile race. So I figured that was a great idea, just go at it as long as possible, even if you walk more than you planned. Just to see how long until you think you can't go anymore!

So I head to the gym today with 2 hours of possibilties. I had my kids w/ me so they can only be in the gym daycare a max of 2 hrs. So I promise myself to avoid the elliptical (which I love) and stay on the treadmill the whole time and bang out as much as I possibly could, running as much as possible.

I got in 5.58 FREAKIN' MILES in 90 minutes!!!! I was and am sooo proud. My friends say they are proud of me and I can't imagine anyone being more proud than I am that this person who at 1 point weighed 70 lbs more did 5.58 miles. My ratio was about 90% jogging and 10% walking or steppin off a sec to stretch my calves or get water, then I'd jump right back on and go at it!!! I am stoked! I'm hoping I can do 10 miles solid one day before I leave for the race, just b/c I've yet to take my body to that "feel like I'm gonna break" point and I'd like to see where it is! haha!

A pic of me soaking wet w/ sweat after my run! hehe! such a proud owner of a new mileage accomplishment!

In case nobody knows, Ms. Aimme  http://aimmejo.blogspot.com/
flew in today from Cali to Az on a vacation. She hit me up on FB a bit ago to see about getting together. I got soooooooooooooo excited! So now, we are meeting tomorrow in Scottsdale to run together. She did 3 marathons in 2008, so she is a true athlete!!! I am so stoked to meet a fellow bandster, for the first time! And even more stoked we're going to do a kickass run together! I will take pics and post them here, as long as she's all cool with it!

Oh and a LITTLE p.s. .... So I totally love to write. I don't know if you guys know that really or not b/c I do more than the blog. And this blog is generally my half ass attempt b/c I don't edit it for spelling or grammar or anything, just fly off the handle at ya...in  your face!!!! But I have been a writer since I was about 14. I started off with poetry then got into just my expressive thoughts (wrote for my school newspaper) and some short stories. Now I do more of my personal thoughts, deep thoughts, when I'm stressed or tore up about something. So I applied for a writing job that pays! It's always been a dream of mine to be like Carrie on Sex and The City. Just sittin at her laptop, smoking, wearing awesome shoes, and writing her random thoughts and everybody loving it! So the job I applied for is to write an online column about "Phoenix Women's Issues" and OMG I'm so excited. I had to write some stuff and samples to put together for the app so I haven't submitted it yet. But I'm super stoked!

I feel like losing weight has freed my soul for me to step out of line and do things I've always wanted to do. I do love my job, but these days I'm calling it my "day job" b/c just changing that title gives me the idea that I have time to persue my PASSIONS IN LIFE! And that will also include more photography, (for me personally unless a Magazine or site offers to buy 1 of my pics, I'd gladly sale it but that doesn't happen often) and then start studying for the Personal Trainer Certification!!!! My day job will carry me through all those things, and I'm very blessed that I actually LOVE my dayjob!!!

xoxo,
Libby

p.s.s. I just decided today that when I get skinny and I'm a personal trainer, my name tag will say "Libby". It is a rightful nick name to "Elizabeth" and I think Libby is a fun, athlete, spunky person's name! haha! So Libby I shall be!!!
