The Susan Komen 5k Walk!!!

This was the start line. 85,000 people showed up at the Phoenix Capitol to support the cause! It was awesome! Me posing by a glass Superior court Bldg. I bought these white pants XL from target FOR this walk and they ended up being too big after moving around a bit! I was soooo surprised!

A cute dog named Lulu we came across!

Awww the supporters!!!

Me & my girl Kelley at the very end! All sweaty and feeling great!!!

A picture of me w/ the finish line behind me. We finished in about an hour and fifteen minutes. We got distracted about 5x to do pics w/ bldgs and then once to help an older lady cancer survivor who fell and cut her leg open. That probably took about 10 mins to wait for the medic w/ her! Sooo sucky for her to go through that on a big day for her!
The walk was motivating. Then we got some free food and drinks, walked a half a mile back to Kelley's car then drove over to Kelley's to hang out. We walked a total of 4.5 miles today! It was great! Then we sat in her backyard playing balls w/ her 2 labs and it was a blast! I loved no kid, adult hang time! She's an awesome chick I'm just getting to know but I can see us doing a lot of fun (non partying) kind of stuff together. We are making plans to go bowling when I get back to Ark b/c I've never been before! I'm stoked for that.
xoxo,
Liz
P.s. Weight front: I got back down to 247 and we'll see how it goes from here. I'm eating well, in fact, maybe even too little. I did treat myself to a Coke Slushie at the gas station after we finished the walk. It soooo delish! I hope the carbination didn't bother the band, I thought since it was all frozen and slushi-fied it might be ok. It didn't give me any problems. Still not exercising much but Kelley and I are talking about getting together more often to do like hiking, bowling, and skating. Just good ol' fashioned physical fun stuff. So if I just add some cardio throughout the week to do that I'd be in a much better place. I plan on walking while in Arkansas w/ my bff if it's not too cold. I just want to make sure I get activity each day I'm there instead of sitting on my butt in my car from town to town to town to see family!

  3. Awesome, so great Liz!!!

And I have to say I was looking at the photos and the 5th down I was looking at it thinking, what a cute girl. She has glasses just like Liz's. She must be Liz's younger cousin.

I seriously took 10 seconds to realize it was you. Not only is your face looking thinner but you are totally looking younger!

I am not kidding. You look great!

  4. Doesnt it feel so good when you are doing the walk for a cause? I think it makes it even better and makes us realize how lucky we are...and hopefully makes us appreciate our health!

    Good job!
