Physical, visual motivation & quick update!
I think I'm going to find an object that weighs 1 lb and then stack them in the corner to represent how much weight I've LOST! To be a visual reminder on a daily basis of how freakin' awesome I am! I think it is highly important to love yourself, support yourself, motivate yourself, and be content in your efforts and acheivments. I think it is way too damn easy for people to be TOO hard on themselves and fall into those pitfalls. I'm not doing that, which feels great, but I know what it feels like to be there.
My trip was beyond great! I'm sad to be home actually. I think I left my heart back there in Portia the day I left. I feel really sad and off about it, hard to put it into words. I expect to do a long ass blog in the next few days to try to sort out my feelings about it. So many people want me to move back there. I don't know how I feel.
I have about 250 awesome pics, all of which are up on Facebook under me (Elizabeth Huskey), add me if you like. I will post some on here tonight if I have time. I was 8 days behind on reading blogs. So far tonight I've caught up to just being 6 days behind! Kudos to Amy and Mary on fabulous weight loss and meeting monumental goals!!!!!!!!!!! You both rock, kick ass, and take names! YOu are a major motivation to me and I know so many others! Shout out to you guys!!!
So, yeah I'm doing great band wise.
Water- A little short on how much I need but not eating w/ meals.
food- Doing generally well on food. Ate bad 2 times in Arkansas. One time I had 3-4 pieces of pizza (I literally lost count b/c I wasn't even paying attention or thinking about it) and then once we ate at Cracker Barrel and I just had TOO MUCH! But I didn't drink then either. I offically gained NO WEIGHT while on vacation. I kept chanting to myself I'd lose 5 lbs on vacay, technically I did not. Still 247 when I came home. Excited for WEd WI this week b/c I've been super strict on my eating since I've been home. No booze on this trip, no partying. I actually felt like I did well w/ eating all around b/c more than once I ACTUALLY FORGOT TO EAT A MEAL. Then when I remembered, I'd snack so I did gorge at my next regular meal. Had a good amount of fast food, but ate kid sized portions. OMG, I did have 3 Mt. Dews while I was there. I had the first one while sitting on my bff's back porch hanging out, smoking in the cool late night chill, just for old times sake. I didn't give me any problems, no carbonation issues or stomach aches like 1 sip of Coke will do to me. So I had 2 more on the remainder of the trip. But that will not happen again!!!
School- Offically done w/ my intro class and now onto HEALTH & NUTRITION ( should be super helpful to me in my regular life) and 2 NATURAL SCIENCE CLASSES this semester. Looking forward to it!
