Howdy Partners...& a hike!

Well I took the weekend off from blogging. Over my weekend I lost 8 lbs!

psych! god wouldn't that be GREAT! LOL! Had to make sure you guys were awake!

So in reality I did a lot of cleaning at home, took the boys on a hike Saturday afternoon (pics below) and spent Sunday night with Lloyd. We went out to eat then hung at his house and had a great (relationship monumental) conversations! :D

I've just started reading this book called "How to Find Your Mr. Right...and keep Him" and it's awesome! It describes the psychology, physiology, chemistry and evoluionary facts behind what makes MEN, MEN! It is soooo interesting. I suggest anyone read it that is single, most definetley. But if you are attached or married, it could help you as well. It is based off of science and psychology, PROVEN FACTS, and it gives such great insight into how men think, what they don't think about, how they react to things women do and say to them, etc. THEN it gives advice on how we can use what we learn, to get along better with men. I am not one for schemes, and this one seems to be ALL real to me. I applied one of the "skills" he talks about w/ Lloyd over the weekend and it TOTALLY WORKED! I have another one I'm going to apply soon and we'll see how it goes.

I ate OK over the weekend. I guess really I could lean towards crappy...if I wanted to be honest with myself. Saturday I ate well and then avoided carbs at dinner, so that was cool. But then Sunday going out w/ Lloyd I ate a salad, a dinner roll, and pasta. Shouldn't have gotten the pasta, the thought even crossed my mind "I NEED to get something healthier" but yet I gave in b/c of my unfortunate love of carbs! :S

Today I got my new phone...can I just say....LOVE! It's a Tmobile My touch 3G Slide. Awesome awesomeness! It's glorious! Then today I had a job interview for a full time ODD pharmacy tech job. It isn't an average tech job, it's more office work but it sounds sooo interesting to me. And the company is small (personable), positive relaxed environment (minimal drama) and they do not micro manage. They give you your job duties, expect you to do them, and leave you alone. However, it's a FAR commute from me. I'd be driving from the East Valley clear over the the edge of the West Valley. It'd be 40 miles each way total...but in traffic that comes down to about an hour or 1:15 to get there, depending on the time of day. HOWEVER, If I were to LOVE a job, I'd sacrifice the commute b/c driving and traffic jams do not bother me, it's just more alone time, music time, and think time for me. So...first interview today went well and they said they'd call me back for a 2nd interview THIS week if my professional references check out. So....cross your fingers, pray, meditate, whatever it is you do PLEASE!!!! I'm realllyyyyyy looking forward to getting back into full time work!

Below: Hiking White Tank Mountains. So proud of my boys. Their first hike was only half a mile and they complained b/c it was 101 (understandable) but THIS hike was "easy", 2 miles roundtrip and it was a blissful 85 degrees!

The view of the huge mountains coming up to them.

Coming into the park

Me and my boys, so proud! :D

I had Riley take a few body shots of me b/c on my solo hikes, there's never anyone to take pics of me w/ nature! He's so dark good w/ the camera...even though the setting sun was annoying.

The view from the "top" looking down into Phoenix, the west valley.

They both look sooo dang big! It's unreal to me!

The west valley and Estrella Mountains in the distance...coming down off White Tanks Mountains.
