Halloween costume thoughts!
Konnor is going to be the black BATMAN!
Riley is going to be SPIDERMAN!
LANCELOT'S LOVE
A GYPSY!
CAPTAIN BEAUTY!So the debate for me is that I want a cool costume but I also don't want to look like a tramp. I know a lot of people take the Halloween night as a chance to look trampy, on purpose. Koodos to those but I am more modest. But, I did not dress up the first 3 halloweens w/ my boys b/c I thought I was too fat to find a costume. Then last year I just "sort of" dressed up as a creepy vampire in this black cloke-like dress w/ fangs and stuff. Easy. This year I wanted to have more fun with it. If I keep up w/ my weight goals I should be around 227 by halloween night.
But also I want it to be figure flattering for my "plus size" body and not make me look like I'm wearing a moo moo. So the above ideas I love them all!
I'd like something fun and kinda sexy but I'm also modest so the mid-thigh ones are questionable. I love the gypsy one too b/c I feel like I"m a gypsy at heart!!!
Hey ladies, vote for me! Everybody comment and let me know what you think will be figure flattering, fun, and cool for someone who is 24 but a mom too!!!

OOOOHHH I love Halloween costumes! Since your boys are Batman & Robin, could you do Batwoman? You wouldn't have to do the skintight suit, maybe just some kind of all black something with the Batwoman mask.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, out of these I like the pirate, "Captain Beauty" - First, little boys love pirates so they will get a kick out of it, and it is not too trampy, and is flattering looking. Have fun!
Hmmm... Now you got me thinkin' about Halloween...
ReplyDeleteA few years back, I was VERY happy with the Lancelot style costume I wore. It was very flattering.
But the Pirate does look fun and I would probably pick that one because, I agree, the boys would probably like it best.
BUT... You very well may have the legs to carry off the Gypsy! By your pics, it looks like you could. But I'd be wary of the skirt. Sometimes short ones can fan out too much (especially in the back!) if you've got some junk in the trunk, ya know...
Let us know what you pick!
Go try some on if you get time. Most costume places are cool about it.
Gen- I haven't found any bat woman that isn't too tight. I do like the idea of the pirate one too!
ReplyDeleteaimmeJo- I love halloween. Lancelot style is super cute and I like those "times". I don't know about the legs and the gypsy. My spanx come to my midcalf so I'd have to buy one that comes to mid-thigh, which I'm cool w/ doing that I need them for my new dress. But the fanning at the butt, that is very likely I always have that problem. I don't know where I could try them on. I was looking online, we have a discount party close by but i've never seen a "dressing room" there. I always assumed you just got what you bought. I'll have to check into that b/c things always seem different "on" when your body is going through so many changes.
thanks for the tip!!!
