Why do I love my camera so?
I signed up on match.com tonight. I found like 10 potential guys from ages 25-35. There was one I super super like so I sent him a "wink" to let him know I'm possibly interested. Now I just wait to see if he winks back or if he emails me directly. Moments after I sent it he got online and he's been online for 20 mins now....writting me a long emaiil maybe? we shall see. I am getting more "OK" w/ the idea of this.
I do still worry about stalkers, rapist, and murder people on sites like that though. So I will talk via email for a few wks before meeting up and then we'll HAVe to meet in public w/ lots of people and let me leave w/o him seeing my car. I'm so cautious! But I think that's a good thing!
I have wondered lately why I don't just "date" guys. I get to know them, almost searching for something wrong. Then when I find it, I'm out, before ever dating them. I thought for awhile this was my cautious, shy, and immature part of Liz coming out. However, in researching astrology, turns out Aquarians are just like that. It's like a "hunting method" and it doesn't make sense to them to approach things too quickly. And they almost HAVE to be friends w/ someone first, which has always been true for me. I've never dated or slept w/ a stranger, I need to KNOW you, you know? So I'm a little more comfortable w/ my weird, stalkerISH approach to "dating". Haha! Omg, everybody pray for me, I'm already worried!
Xoxo,
Elizabeth, darling!
You know I did Match.com back in the day. I met a really nice guy who was a laywer, but I had chemistry with him. THen I went on another date with a weirdo, and then my final date with a dumb dumb. But, I believe you have the same chance of meeting a crazy rapist on Match.com as you do in a bar. My boss met her husband on Match. Just be safe, meet in public, get to know someone.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to do it over again I would probably do e-harmony. A little more expensive, but they do their matches different.
Good luck...love is out there!
