2 hours...and BBQ sauce!

I'm taking a minute...to pat my own back! :P

Sooooo, today this is what I ate:
9am: Mcdonald's: hashbrown & half sausage/cheese mcmuffin w/ 1 top removed
3pm: 1 can of black eyed peas
3:30pm: a frozen fried rice & veggies meal
7:30pm: 2 grilled chicken tenderloins w/ a lil BBQ sauce, and a mini can of green beans.

That's it, and I'm STARVING now! I took a pic of my dinner because I was going to ask ya'll opinion on if it was too much or not, for you ladies with monster restriction. But I KNOW in my heart it was not too much, lol (the tenderloins were no more than 3 inches long) AND I was full for like...I dunno....half a second! LOL! I have been starving all day. I know on days that you do an intense workout that you will be hungry, like monster hungry. So I just ate a little here and there and dealt with it. Are my food choices bad? I dunno. I do love my Mcdonald's breakfast, I will not give it up anytime soon! :D That's just me!

The 6 hr gap in eating? Well, long story short, I sat in my car in the parking lot (at the gym) on the phone with my sister talking about exercise stuff from 9-10:30. Then "S" from 1030-11 and I hadn't heard from him an ENTIRE day so I needed me some phone lovin' from S. THEN, I had to tell my bff about S, so I sat on the phone w/ my bff from 11-12. Finally got INTO the gym to workout around 1230 I think, after smoking probably an entire pack of cigarettes (yuck!) this whole time I spent chatting it away in my car. OH and I drank a whole liter of water sitting in my car! Joyous morning!

But I'll be the FIRST to tell ya, me loves to talk! I can talk to strangers, family, friends, boyfriend, write on blogs, for hours on end and find endless enjoyment doing it. I love COMMUNICATING! I'll talk to plants if I'm bored (besides it's good for 'em) and even dogs (although that's not a favorite activity of mine because I believe dogs do NOT understand). So, got all my verbal frustrations out this am.

THEN I did this:
85 mins Elliptical, got in 5.3 miles
30.6 mins cycling, got in 6.3 miles!

The cycling was bomb ass! I'd never done it before and it was nifty as shit! I'll show ya...

It is this spiffy little machine with an interative "TV" (??), sooooooooooo entertaining! You create a user name (because you can track all your riding online, AWESOMENESS) and then pick a trail and go at it. FIRST, to try it out, I did a 3 mile trail called "The Lost Trial" and I drove by palm trees and old indian ruins. Amazing! THEN, I knew I needed more workout to get to my 2 hr goal so I did another trail that was 3.37 miles called "Coastal Bluff" and I rode up and down, up and down, and then along the beautiful coast with the sun a' blazin'!!! Stellear! For real, stellar! I didn't wanna leave. BUT that last cycling stint was killing my hamstrings! AND I met my goal for the day so I hopped off in my soaking wet clothes (of course stopped by the locker room to take my sweaty picture to text to friends, lol) then made my way home.

It was a great workout. I loved it! I am so excited to get back on the bike tomorrow, fun experience!!! It has over 30 trails, so I am determined to do them all. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! I'm loving exercise again, praise Jesus! Who dat!!!!!

So tomorrow, another day of NOTHING to do except run a small errand so I'll do 2-3 hrs in the gym depending on my soreness. Tonight I am more sore than I have been in a long time. And OH how I have missed the glorious pain of sore, over worked muscles. It gives me a cheap thrill really! ;) So back of my legs are sore from lunges, front are sore from cycling, AND arms are sore from elliptical! Good day mates! Good day!

Peace!
Liz

Oh P.S. I'm not going to worry about buying p90x or any other workout program for home yet. I so love my gym! I love being a gym rat. So maybe I'll get one of those for "fun" when I have money to throw around (riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight)! :D

  1. No wonder you're hungry with all that exercise. Good for you! You could try a protein shake...it'll help with your muscles and fill you up a bit.
